International Paper was cited and fined in connection with that incident.

With a unanimous vote- Virginia Tech's Board of Visitors has named a new leader for the new millenium.
Today the board chose Charles (Stee-ger) Steger as the university's 15-th President.

Steger received his undergraduate, masters and P-H-D at Virginia Tech and is currently the school's Vice President for Development and University Relations.

While not to be taken seriously, he did lead UVa to the upset over the nation's seventh ranked team throwing, running, and snapping, in fact his blocks were the only thing missing. ((:)) All joking aside, River did outshine the biggest Heisman hopeful in the pairs one night of head to head competition, a scenario that was almost day to day with three Georgia signal callers. Rivers passed for three touchdowns but UVa has a rule that the starting quarterback, when coming back from an injury after missing a game, does not lose his starting job, which would mean Dan Ellis should start against Buffalo. ((:))
