(( With ten to 12 foot seas still hampering the search for EgyptAirs black boxes, the US Navy is getting some help.

A new, high tech underwater robot is on its way to join forces with the USS Grapple the Navy's salvage ship that spent much of Saturday searching in vain.
The new robot, dubbed the Magnum ROV, is also equipped with a special underwater camera, but is more maneuverable and can operate better in rough seas.
SOT/JAMES HALL, NTSB CHAIRMAN

12:13:40 We needed the capability to operate in a little more difficult conditions than we presently can. NARR:
NTSB investigators say although they've located the electronic signals from the cockpit voice and flight data recorders, they believe both are buried -- either under silt on the ocean floor, or pieces of the wreckage from the 767 that in some places is piled six feet high.
And at more than 250 feet below the surface, it is deemed too dark, too cold, and too dangerous to send divers down to look by hand.
NAT/SOT

NARR:
It could be that wreckage from the plane will have to be hauled to the surface before the black boxes can be recovered clearly not the Navy's first option but may be the only one left.
For victims families, it means more waiting after an emotional weekend of goodbyes at the oceans edge. COWAN ON CAM: The weather is expected to improve later on this afternoon at which point both underwater robots will be sent down to take a look. There is still plenty of time the signal beacons from the boxes are designed to keep sounding for at least another three weeks. Lee Cowan, CBS News, Newport, Rhode Island))
