Flames and terror race through a Michigan nursing home- Now authorities are trying to figure out why.

In another corner of the world- famlies sleeping at night are buried alive when an apartment building collapsed.

At least 13 bodies have been pulled from the ruins- Many more are missing and feared dead.
The six story apartment building in (Foe-Ghee-a) Foggia, Italy crumbled just before dawn- trapping dozens.
Only one family out of 24 escaped intact-
The family was awakened by the sounds of the building shaking- They tried to alert others before running out of the building.
Crews are now working to try and find any survivors who may be buried inside.

Another apparel company is calling it quits in Henry County.

County officials confirm that Ashmore Sportswear is closing its plant and outlet store in Collinsville.
That means that more than 100 workers will be out of a job in January when the plant shuts down.
Ashmore makes T-Shirts and athletic apparel.
It's been in Collinsville since 1994.
Officials with the company were unavailable for comment today.

They're still trying to figure out what started a house fire in Northwest Roanoke today.

The fire started upstairs in a two-story duplex in the 15-hundred block of Hanover.
Investigators are calling it suspicious.
Nobody lives on that top level ... but firefighters say the downstairs unit IS occupied.
It took only 10-minutes to get the flames under control.
No one was hurt-
But there's an estimated 25-thousand-dollars' worth of damage to the structure.

Hikers on the Appalachian Trail have to cross railroad tracks in more than one place along the Maine- to- Georgia foot path.

Norfolk Southern is trying to eliminate "at-grade" crossings- -where vehicles or pedestrians have been allowed to drive or walk across the tracks.
The government has launched a law suit, trying to force the railroad to give the trail a permanent easement.
