Henry County officials confirm that Ashmore Sportswear is closing its plant and outlet store in Collinsville.
That means more than 100 employees will be laid off when the plant shuts down in January.
Ashmore Sportswear came to Collinsville in 1994.
The company makes T-shirts and athletic apparel.
Officials from the company were unavailable for comment today.
But a plant employee said the company was struggling because of competition from foreign sewing operations.
