Its the fatty acid that makes margarine, baked goods, doughnuts, french fries and other fried foods taste good.
But experts say trans fatty acids may be even worse that saturated fat in terms of clogging arteries.
Currently consumers have no way of knowing how much of it is in their foods, but the F-D-A wants to change that.
The proposed label would include the amount of trans fat included in the saturated fat.
An asterisk with a footnote would indicate how much is included.
The proposed rule would also let manufacturers label certain foods as "trans fat free."

Some experts say robotics will transform the way people in wheelchairs get around. In the near future wheelchairs will be able to climb stairs. And another breakthrough involved sensors. For example, diabetics could have implanted insulin reservoirs that will automatically release the right amount of insulin at the right time, eliminating the need for daily injections.
