It's been a little more than a week since Ricky Foutz stepped down as Vinton's Police Chief.
But many in the town of Vinton are standing behind Foutz-- despite the fact the department he headed up for years is the target of a special grand jury investigation.

Teresa,
Foutz says the last few weeks have been very difficult, he's lost 30lbs, and his integrity is on the line.
But he says knowing that he has the support of many in the town is helping him cope. ((rollcue...him cope ))

Teresa, the only thing we know as far as the investigation is that at least one of the allegations had to do with missing evidence but Foutz says most of that has been located.
