A Danville father is charged with leaving a loaded gun in his daughter's bookbag, a bag the girl brought into school the next day.
Police in Danville have charged 31 year old Keith Dale Bryant with unlawfully and recklessly leaving a loaded and unsecured firearm .. in a manner to endanger the life of a child under 14.
Police say Bryant put the gun in his daughter's bookbag while they were shopping, and forgot to take it out.
The daughter brought the bag, and gun, into Westover Christian Academy the next day.
School staff found it and notified police without incident.

After two years of investigation, the N-C-A-A has imposed a
two-year probation on Notre Dame's football program and has lifted two
scholarships because of wrong doing by a booster and some players.
That said, Notre Dame remains eligible for bowl games and
