President Clinton is making one man's holiday a little brighter tonight.
The president pardoned Freddie Meeks after he was court martialed for mutiny in 1944.
He was sentenced to three months in jail after he and other sailors refused to load live ammunition on transport ships.
They refused after an explosion killed more than 300 people at a Navy port near San Francisco.

The new Intel-486 is 20-times faster than the one it is replacing, but still slower than most home computers.
The spacewalkers are also installing an improved guidance system that will be used to point the telescope.

Martinsville police charged a man with killing his roommate.
50-year-old Leon White is in custody tonight.

(( New Orleans offers its visitors unlimited beauty and plenty of the uninhibited unusual.
It's a city where one can gain ten pounds a day, and later watch a stranger shed ten pounds of clothing in a minute.
Bourbon Street is the beast that most tourists visit, and most coaches fear.
When the Hokies and their fans arrive back in New Orleans only two Tech players on this current squad were with the team when it played Texas back in 1995.
Both Shane Beamer and Jimmy Kibble know that making good decision outside the Superdome will as important as playing smart against the Seminoles.

Last year only 230 murders were committed in New Orleans and only 18 thousand six hundred and 45 thefts were reported - I say only because both of those numbers were down significantly from the year before.
