We are now seeing the faces of some of the the first of the hijacked passengers who have finally been released from their terrifying trip aboard Flight 814.
They are now re-united with their loved ones -- women and children brought to safety. But for many, still enduring the drama, they're dissolving into tears.

(nats)

The seized Indian Airliner now sits at an airport in the southern Afghan City of Kandahar. This is the fourth stop for the A-300 Airbus -- which was originally going from the Nepali capital of Katmandu to New Delhi.
Gunmen --armed with grenades, pistols and knives -- hijacked the flight Friday -- just 40 minutes after take-off.
It was forced to stop in India, Pakistan and then -- at an airbase in the United Arab Emirates.
The plane -- carrying 178 passengers and 11 crew members had to refuel. It was at that point -- the gunmen released 27 hostages and the body of a murdered 25 year old man who was on his honeymoon in Katmandu.

( SOT Jaswant Singh/Indian Foreign Minister talking about demands)

India's Foreign Minister says he will not give into the hostage-takers. A group calling itself the Islamic Salvation Front is taking responsibility for the hijacking and the gunmen are naming their price. It is to release a pakastani religious leader from jail and several kashmiri fighters.
But for the remaining hostages still on the Indian Airliner -- they're hoping for their own release. ))
