Conditions are said to be deteriorating aboard the hijacked Indian Airlines jet that's sitting on the ground in southern Afghanistan.

At least 160 people are still aboard the plane and those who delivered food to the captive passengers today say the air in the plane is bad.

Investigators are still piecing together the events leading up to an early morning shooting in Franklin County.
Investigators say 26- year old Cletis Roberts, Junior of Bath County was shot in the torso after breaking into a house where his estranged wife, Katherine, was staying.
It happened on Hopkins Road, around two A-M.
The homeowner, 38- year old Arthur Simpson has been charged with firing the fatal shot.
Katherine Roberts' father has also been charged in connection with the crime.
Harold Nelson is accused of breaking into the house with his son-n-law and is also charged with the malicious wounding of his daughter.

Composer and singer Curtis Mayfield died at a Georgia hospital at age 57.
Mayfield may be best known for the success of the soundtrack to the film "Superfly" in 1972.
He also had a string of hits in the '60s.
In 1990 Mayfield was paralyzed in an accident in which he was struck by a rig that toppled while he was on stage performing in Brooklyn.
No word yet on the cause of death.

A 17-year-old Texas girl has been arrested for allegedly shooting and killing her parents early Christmas Day.

Stephanie Catherine Barron at first told officers she heard an intruder in their home then heard gunshots coming from her parents bedroom.
But after officers found no forced entry and found nothing missing from the scene, Ms. Barron was arrested.
Her parents had been shot in the head.
Barron was a member of the National Honor Society while in high school but apparently dropped out.
