State Police say a multi vehicle accident has both southbound lanes of Interstate 81 blocked this morning north of the Troutville scales.
It happened around five south of Exit 150 in Botetourt County.
1 vehicle is overturned in the road and several injuries are reported.
Police say traffic will be delayed for an undetermined amount of time. Meantime southbound traffic should avoid this area. No other information is available at this time.

Fueling the desperation of the hostage families, the funeral Sunday of one of the pasengers killed by the hijackers on the first day. The man was returning from his honeymoon, his widow is still aboard the plane.
The hijackers are armed Islamic extremists who are battling India's rule of in Kashmir, a disputed territory in the Himalayas. They are demanding freedom for their leader, held in an Indian jail.
Delivering food and water to the passengers, Afghanistan's Taliban militia reported that conditions inside the rancid smelling aircraft are becoming increasingly tense. Taliban commando troops who stand posted around the plane are said to be prepared to storm the plane if the hijackers carry out their threat to begin killing more passengers.

The Roanoke Redevelopment and Housing Authority is using 41 million dollars for a project they call Lincoln 2-thousand.
They plan to build new houses and renovate some of the old ones to create a neighborhood atmosphere in Lincoln Terrace housing project . The new housing plan will have various kinds of buildings to serve people with different needs and will be a stepping stone to eventual ownership.
