The Chicago Journal of Theoretical Computer Science provides working papers containing rapidly changing information of timely interest. Authors and editors of working papers modify them as needed to keep the information as current as possible. From time to time, the editors will produce archival versions of working papers, freezing the contents at a particular time so they may be cited in a stable form. These archival versions will be produced in the same way as research articles, with formal numbers and front matter. We anticipate that the dynamic version of a working paper, which contains the most current information, will be most useful, but please make formal citations only to the archival versions.
