This is advance notice of an announcement that is being placed in the Chronicle of Higher Education. If anyone wishes to contact me, I regularly read my e-mail.

ROMAN HISTORY:

Visiting faculty position during the 1993-94 academic year with a possibility of renewal for the following academic year.

Starting September 1993 or January 1994.

Teaching experience and Ph.D. preferred.

To teach advanced undergraduate courses in Roman history and surveys of the ancient world.

Send letter of application and vita to Professor Carol Thomas, Department of History, DP-20, University of Washington, Seattle, WA 98195, U.S.A. (FAX: 206-543-9451).

The University of Washington is building a culturally diverse faculty and strongly encourages applications from female and minority candidates.
