ARCHAEOLOGY (TWO POSITIONS)

The Department of Classical and Near Eastern Archaeology, Bryn Mawr College, seeks two archaeologists for positions beginning in the fall of 1994.

Geographic areas of expertise are Greece and generally circum- Mediterranean lands.

Periods to be covered are Greek and Roman, with specialties in Archaic, Classical, Hellenistic or Roman. Fields of expertise are the interpretation of the visual arts (primarily, but not exclusively, painting, sculpture and architecture), the archaeology of settlement, the principles of archaeology, and the history of scholarship.

Rank open for both positions.

Teaching and field experience preferred.
