Research-Led Appointment

Applications are invited for a chair in Ancient History.

The appointee will be an active scholar with an established record of research and publication in any area of Greek and/or Roman history. The successful candidate's principal duty will be to conduct his/her research and promote research and related activities in the Department of History and in those subject areas embracing the ancient world. Apart from this she/he need not expect to undertake substantial administrative duties in the short to medium term.
