QBARS - v10n3 A Selected List of Rhododendron Literature

A Selected List of Rhododendron Literature
By J. Harold Clarke

It seems that Rhododendron fanciers soon become interested in various technical aspects of culture, propagation, soil acidity, pest control, hybridization, and species and variety identification. Quite a few reach the stage of wanting to look into the literature to find answers to their problems. The following titles include most of the books on Rhododendrons and some of the papers in various publications which seemed to the Editor to be the most helpful, although many had to be omitted which others might consider more important.

As the American Rhododendron Society Bulletins and Year Books are indexed no further mention is made of them or their contents in the following list. Certain important periodicals and yearbooks devoted to Rhododendrons are listed only by name of publication, as space does not permit the inclusion of all the numerous articles appearing in them.
