15th Annual Meeting of The American Rhododendron Society

        Members of the Society are reminded that the 15th Annual Meeting of the Society will be held on May 9, 1959 at 8 p.m. in the Portland Garden Club Building, 1132 S.W. Vista Ave., Portland, Oregon. Visitors and members that attend the Show are urged to attend this meeting. A fine program with guest speakers is being arranged.

Vice-President - EDWARD B. DUNN, Seattle, Washington
  Member Board of Directors of ARS; Past Pres. Seattle Chapter; particularly interested in newer hybrids.
Secretary-Treasurer - MRS. RUTH HANSEN
  Present Secretary, long active in promoting affairs of the Society and Crystal Springs Gardens.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS:
DR. CARL PHETTEPLACE, Eugene, Oregon
  Has one of the finest species collections in the Northwest, and a student of the genus. Present member of board.
HERBERT SCHINK, Portland, Oregon
  Long active in development of the Crystal Springs Garden. Present member of board.
WALES WOOD, St. Helens, Oregon
  Has fine sloping garden overlooking Columbia River. Former member of board.
DR. AARNE LINDGREN, Portland, Oregon
  A young M.D. who has an intense interest in both species and hybrids.
JOHN M. BATES, Lake Grove, Oregon
  Has beautifully landscaped home with many rhododendrons. Business man and active in civic affairs.

  Long a member of Board of Directors. Particularly interested in species and their identification.
