The illustration on the cover of the July Bulletin represents one of the fine plants in the garden at Crystal Springs Island, R. 'Mrs. G. W. Leak'. The two smaller yellow plants on each side are mollis azaleas. The plant in the lower left is R. 'Mrs. C. B. Van Nes'. The past season as related by Mrs. Ruth Hansen in her article "Report on the Test Garden January to June 1960," has never been better. The mild winter, and wet warm spring, with a cool May had the Test Garden in bloom for a lengthy period. The quality of the bloom under these conditions was excellent, and very striking amongst them was R. 'Mrs. G. W. Leak'. The photo transparency was taken by Ray Atkeson.
