Shelton Washington Chapter A.R.S. Formed
On March 21, 1961, the Shelton Chapter of the ARS was organized subject to the approval of the National Board. By unanimous action the Board of Directors of the Society granted the new group Chapter status in the American Rhododendron Society. The following officers were elected: President: Mrs. S. W. VanderWegen: Vice-President: Mr. Walt Elliott; Secretary - Treasurer: Mrs. Mildred Keenan.
