Rudolph Henny's Varieties in California
Edward H. Long, Oakland, California

The reports from California points concerning the Rudolph Henny Hybrids are most satisfactory and in some cases outstanding. 'C.I.S.' has been received enthusiastically by the general public. Much better than average and greatly admired are 'Captain Jack', 'Jade', and 'Ella'. 'Gold Bug' is another plant that has been very successful in this area. As these and others of his plants become better known they will most surely receive acclaim and more extended distribution. We feel that his development work has greatly enriched the rhododendron field and has made a lasting contribution to our California gardens.
