The Ralph Van Landingham Garden
Chas. A. Dewey, Jr., Charlotte, N.C.Rhododendron enthusiasts in the Southeast will find the rhododendron collection of Mr. Ralph Van Landingham in Charlotte of outstanding interest. Mr. Van Landingham has accumulated over 800 flowering size plants of over 115 hybrids, including some of the very latest introductions. In addition to this large number of hybrid rhododendrons, there is an impressive collection of various species along with Exbury and Knaphill azaleas. This garden, which in essence is a trial garden, is producing valuable information on the evaluation of hybrid rhododendrons for our gardens.
