Welcome To Tualatin Valley Chapter
We are glad to say "Welcome" to the Tualatin Valley Chapter of the American Rhododendron Society, almost a new member of our family. "Almost" because the A. R. S. Directors still have to vote on the granting of a charter. But the proposed Chapter Bylaws have been received, and dues for 21 members paid, so approval seems assured.
The new Chapter is centered around Hillsboro, a few miles west of Portland, Oregon. Members of the Portland Chapter were quite active in getting the new group organized and six Portland members are associate members of Tualatin Valley, giving them an active group of 27. The President of the new group is Forrest E. Bump, M.D. of Forest Grove and the Secretary Treasurer is Mrs. John W. Wolfe, Hillsboro, Ore.
