Plant Awards
Mr. D. K. McClure, Registrar of Plant Awards, informs us that two varieties were voted the Preliminary Award during 1966, as follows: 'Ann Carey,' R. keiskei X R. spinuliferum, raised by Mrs. Stephen E. Anderson, Bellevue, Wash. 'Odee Wright', 'Mrs. Betty Robertson' X 'Idealist', raised by Mr. Arthur Wright, Milwaukie, Ore. For some other varieties that were examined by Awards Committees only one or two cards were turned in, instead of the required three. Awards Committeemen should turn in their ballots promptly, otherwise they are exercising a "pocket veto.'
