In order to give the public a better understanding of the American Rhododendron Society, its aims and purposes, the North Kitsap Chapter will have two educational displays, one at the Bainbridge Island Public Library, the other at the Poulsbo (WA) Public Library during most of the blooming season this spring. The displays are being put up by Mr. Howard Short, President of the Chapter. These displays will incorporate world maps showing the general species locations, with information card, indicating the species and their hybrid derivatives which are generally available to the trade. Trusses of species and hybrids will be on display together with some of the books on the Genus Rhododendron. It is hoped that through these displays a livelier interest will be generated in the Society and that the North Kitsap Chapter will also gain additional members.
