Our Front Cover
Wales Wood of St. Helens, Oregon, is the photographer who provided the cover picture for this issue. It goes nicely with the article by Mrs. Wood. Both Mr. and Mrs. Wood have been collectors and fanciers of dwarf species for many years and have shared their knowledge and experience with several Chapters in the Northwest by way of illustrated slide lectures. The species on this cover is R. glaucophyllum, a member of the Glaucophyllum Series and Subseries, coming from Sikkim, Bhutan and S. E. Tibet at elevations of 9-12,000 ft. This particular plant in the Woods' garden came from the Elsa Frye Nursery a number of years ago.
