We are indebted to the Oregon State Highway Department for the beautiful picture of rhododendrons and Mt. Hood. In the foreground is Rhododendron macrophyllum which grows in thickets along the immediate Oregon Coast and at fairly low to middle altitudes in the Coast Range and the Cascade Mountains. In the middle ground is a stand of Douglas Fir, Pseudotsuga menziesii.
