1974 Bronze Medal Awards, Massachusetts Chapter
At the annual meeting of the Massachusetts Chapter, April 17, 1974, the chapter president, Max Resnick, presented Edmund Mezitt and Elinor Clarke with Bronze Medals. Elinor Clarke was honored as the driving force most responsible for the formation of the chapter; and for her tireless efforts on behalf of the chapter which have resulted in its germination and growth: and her continuing service as the first and only secretary-treasurer the chapter has had. Edmund D. Mezitt was honored as a founder, organizer and first president of the Massachusetts chapter; as a grower, hybridizer and introducer of outstanding new plants; and as a host. show judge and source of plants.
