At its tenth anniversary celebration, September 8th, 1975 the Tualatin Valley Chapter of the ARS especially honored their members who have received the Bronze Medal award. At the meeting Mrs. Margaret Sahnow of Hillsboro, Oregon for her leadership in the Chapter's annual show, Earl Connelly of Buxton, Oregon for his long service as chairman of the annual plant sale, and Forrest E. Bump, M.D. of Forest Grove, Oregon, the chapter's first President and outstanding builder of club membership were presented to the chapter and their award citations read. All three have shared unhesitatingly of their time and great knowledge with the membership to build chapter strength and individual interest in Rhododendrons.
