Rhododendron Monograph In Preparation
Dr. Martha Roane, biologist at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University at Blacksburg, Virginia, is nearing completion of a monograph on the Genus Rhododendron in North America. She published "Rhododendrons Native to Virginia" in the Virginia Journal of Science, Vol. 26, No. 1,
1975. Middle Atlantic Chapter members had a preview of the work in progress at their fall dinner meeting when Dr. Roane gave a slide presentation on "Rhododendron Species in North America."
