Mervin Vator
Carl Phetteplace, M.D., Leaburg, ORIt is with sad remembrance that the Eugene Chapter of the Rhododendron Society must write of the death of Mervin Vator. It has been written "if you want a friend you must first be one". Merv was that kind of man; a friend to all who knew him. He was an active member of our chapter, attending regularly with good advice and gave much time to his garden and garden friends.
Our sympathy goes to Lisetta. She has lost her pal and husband; we have lost a cherished friend. Our memories and love will linger long for both of them.
