Gracious offerings to swell the onward flow

WINTER
Like a wayward leaf
Jockeying a horizontal gust of wind
Blackcapped chickadee
Captive of capricious storm
Seeks haven
Among lichen encrusted Mollis azaleas
Naked reminder
Of winter's drawn out siege
