Curt Huey at the April Annual Convention
Few have ever served a chapter and region so effectively for so long. His enthusiasm and expertise complemented by outstanding leadership and organizational abilities were major reasons for an expanded knowledge of rhododendrons and the success of the American Rhododendron Society in the area. Generous, innovative, friendly, and dedicated, he left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know him.
The Officers and Members of the American Rhododendron Society, gratefully award its Silver Medal Award, posthumously, to Raymond Curtis "Curt" Huey, in Oakland, California, on April 13, 1991.
