The 1953 Kingdon-Ward Field Numbers Of The Expedition To North Burma

      The following are the numbers of the rhododendron species collected by Kingdon-Ward. Members of the American Rhododendron society who subscribed to the expedition have received the following packets of rhododendron seed.

K. W. 20680 R. pankimense, tree with crimson flowers.
K. W. 20836 R. megacalyx
K. W. 20837 Small tree or shrub. Flowers various colors. (Probably New)
K. W. 20838 R. series grande. Stout tree with small leaves and clear yellow flowers. (Probably new)
K. W. 20844 R. tephropeplum dwarf, shrub 2 ft. Purple.
K. W. 21000 R. sanguineum. Shrub. 10,500 ft.
K. W. 21003 R. oreotrephes. tree with purple flowers and glaucous foliage.
K. W. 21073 R. repens. Best form from 10,500 ft.
K. W. 21075 R. series sanguineum. Shrub at 10,500 ft. Under-leaf surface black.
K. W. 21077 R. series sanguineum. Shrub from alpine zone.
K. W. 21079 R. trichocladum. Flowers clear yellow. Deciduous.
K. W. 21086 R. euchaites. Tree or shrub. Flowers crimson.
