Journal of Contemporary Neurology, the first fully electronic, peer-reviewed journal in neurology, has a broad scope encompassing both clinical and basic science topics of human neurology, neuroscience and related fields, and studies of other species that relate to the human nervous system. In addition to original clinical and research articles, the journal will publish selected views and reviews, `pros' and `cons' debates on controversial topics, book reviews, a newsletter, calendar of events in neurology and related fields, and classified ads. One of the most exciting features of the journal will be the "rolling" Letters to the Editor section for each article which will allow timely and dynamic discussions concerning an article to evolve rapidly. Letters to the editor will be reviewed and published within 2 weeks. Accepted articles are published via World Wide Web and other Internet facilities on an article by article basis.Nonsubscribers may purchase paper copies of individual JCN articles from the MIT Libraries (Document Services) and electronic copies of articles from The MIT Press.
