Articles may be of any length, but electronic publication tends to favor shorter rather than longer pieces. Anything exceeding thirty pages, including notes, is likely to be taxing for anything except downloaded (print) copies.
Style should be more formal than electronic bulletin boards; remember that this is a peer-reviewed journal.
MSS should be submitted on diskette, accompanied by hard copy. Any standard format is acceptable, but the particular format used should be clearly indicated.
Endnotes and/or references may be used. Citation style should follow the rules of the Chicago Manual of Style (thirteenth ed.), as closely as possible. If they do not fit that style, references will be reformatted.
Every effort will be made to accommodate authors' preferences in terms of charts, equations, figures, and illustrations; however, actual appearance will depend upon the capabilities of the software used at any particular time.
