Virginia Libraries invites VLA members and Virginia creators to send news of their latest publications for inclusion in a new, ongoing column. Publications should have occurred within the previous year or so and will only be featured once. VLA members are particularly encouraged to spread the word of their intellectual property contributions, whether these are print or electronic, text or AV. We also welcome news of works produced by Virginia residents and solicit the help of VLA members who are aware of Virginia authors to populate this list. We hope that ongoing publication announcements will encourage our authors and also provide assistance as a selection tool to supplement “Virginia Reviews.”
If you have access to a work on this list and would like to review it, please query the editors (see page 4 for more information). Keep in mind that we have a limited ability to obtain review copies; as a library publication, we hope that the power of libraries will shine through in locating and providing access to these titles. Your editors, fellow readers, Virginia libraries and their patrons, and Virginia authors all greatly appreciate the effort and time involved in sharing what you know about these publications.
Asterisks before the author’s name will indicate known VLA members. When providing publication news, be sure to identify yourselves so that we can accurately include this information in future issues.
Finally, a caveat: this column is not intended to be comprehensive. The inclusion of titles and genres can be as broad as you will help us make it, but is driven solely by the personal knowledge of VLA members, including the editors. We welcome your contributions.
