Cy Dillon

I am a college librarian (http://ferrumlibrary.net and http://vla.org) who lives with his family on a small farm in the mountains of Virginia. We sometimes raise cattle and always grow as much as possible of our own food on land my family has farmed since before the Civil War. As a young man I edited a literary magazine, but became discouraged with the cloying culture of writing in the seventies. I edited and wrote for a professional journal (Virginia Libraries) for a number of years, and took it online with the Virginia Tech Scholarly Communications Project. Internet literary magazines have brought me out in the open again after 30 years of writing poems with no desire to publish them. Some of my work can be found online in Savoy, Maverick Magazine, and Eclectica. With a group of three other small college faculty from the Appalachian region I am involved in founding Nantahala a literary and art journal funded by the Mellon Foundation for the 33 colleges of the Appalachian College Association.
