Netscape/RGB Color Guide

Netscape extensions allow you to change the color of the document background, text and anchors. Colors are assigned with a pound sign followed by three sets of two digit hexadecimal numbers (00 to ff) to specify shades of red, green and blue which are combined to create the color you actually see e.g.

<BODY BACKGROUND="#C0C0C0">
sets the background color to gray, the default for most web browsers.

Common colors and their RGB codes:
Red #FF0000
Orange #FF7F00
Yellow #FFFF00
Green #00FF00
Cyan #00FFFF
Blue #0000FF
Purple #DB70DB
Black #000000
White #FFFFFF

Try other combinations to get the hang of blending red, green and blue for new colors:
