Abstract The present study hypothesized a positive relationship between voluntary activity participation and life satisfaction with control for social class. Inverse relationships between voluntary activity participation and major life disruptions;, and between life satisfaction and life disruptions for the aged individual were also examined. None of the null hypotheses in the study were rejected.
