Date of Defense 1997-05-22 Availability unrestricted Abstract This study verifies previous econometric research which foundthat spreadsheet prices, when adjusted for quality
improvement, decline over the period 1986-1993. New
econometric work is presented for prepackaged word processing
software. Using objective criteria for variable selection,
the model yields declining quality-adjusted prices for word
processing software over the period 1985-1994.
