Permission to Post Bound Theses and Dissertations
If you are a Virginia Tech graduate school alum, you graduated before 1997, and you want your VT thesis or dissertation to be part of the ETD database and accessible outside of VT, you need to formally grant permission to the library.
Send us a letter or email with your name, the name of your thesis or dissertation, your graduation year, and the following statements:
I hereby grant to Virginia Tech a non-exclusive license to release my (choose one) thesis / dissertation for worldwide access.
Please either copy and paste this text in to an email and send it to BTD_permissions@vt.edu or put it in a standard letter and mail it to
