Provost search committee sets candidate forum dates

The full search committee for the provost position will meet on November 17 to hear the report from the off-campus Interview Subcommittee.
The subcommittee will report on off-campus interviews held earlier in November. Twelve candidates were interviewed off-campus.
The full committee will finalize the short list of candidates to be interviewed on-campus. On-campus interviews will begin on November 28; it is anticipated that three or four candidates will be interviewed on-campus.
Open forums to introduce each candidate to the university community are planned during the two-and-a-half-day, on-campus interviews for each candidate. The forum schedule is as follows: Tuesday, Nov. 29, 1:45 p.m.-3:15 p.m., Donaldson Brown Hotel and Conference Center auditorium; Friday, Dec. 2, 10:30 a.m.-noon, Burruss auditorium; Tuesday, Dec. 6, 1:45 p.m.-3:15 p.m., Donaldson Brown Hotel and Conference Center auditorium; Friday, Dec. 9, 10:30 a.m.-noon, Burruss auditorium.
Dean Robert Bates, chairman of the search committee, said the search is progressing well, and that the committee looks forward to proceeding with the on-campus interview stage of the search.
