Provost's Page' online

Spectrum Volume 18 Issue 03 - September 7, 1995

Beginning this week, the Provost's Office has a homepage on the World Wide Web.

Provost Peggy Meszaros and her staff plan to share information about the workings of the office, responsibilities of staff members, and projects initiated by the Provost's Office. The "Provost's Page" will also feature campus-wide good news and recognition of employees whose efforts are making a difference for students and other members of the campus community. Features will be updated periodically.

"The World Wide Web is the fastest growing link on the Internet and we need to part of that. We need to find more and better ways to communicate to internal and external constituencies what we do, what our priorities are, and what is good about this university," Meszaros said.

The Provost's Office invites questions and dialogue with the web audience, as well as suggestions for employees or activities that should be featured. The homepage provides forms for this purpose. The Provost's Page can be accessed through the Virginia Tech site ( http://www.vt.edu ) under "General Information," or link directly by using the URL http://ate.cc.vt.edu/PROVOST/provost.html . For further information contact the Provost's Office (1-3312) or e-mail provost@vt.edu .
