Hospitality and tourism programs cooperating

The Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management in the College of Human Resources at Virginia Tech, has signed a memorandum of agreement with the tourism faculty of the Hanoi Open University in Vietnam.

The agreement is for collaboration on educational and research programs between the two institutions. It also will foster and develop the relationship between Virginia Tech and the hospitality-and-tourism program at Hanoi Open University.

The collaboration will assist in developing one of Vietnam's largest hospitality-and-tourism programs, professionals in the industry, and the country's economy. The agreement was facilitated by S.K. DeDatta, director of international research and development at Virginia Tech.
