FOOD OPERATIONS ASSISTANT A (FOA-1C) Culinary Services. Normal Starting pay: $5.41 (Grade 1). An applicant pool is now being established to fill wage food operations assistant A positions. INSTRUCTIONAL

DEPARTMENT OF BIOMEDICAL SCIENCES AND PATHOBIOLOGY, VETERINARY MEDICINE. Clinical Instructor in Anatomic Pathology. Position is for one year, available July 1, 1996. The individual will have primary responsibility in diagnostic pathology and teaching. This includes a major commitment to service necropsy and surgical pathology, training of residents, and the instruction of veterinary students. Applicants should have DVM/VMD and be board-eligible for certification by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists. Preference will be given to candidates who are board-certified. NON-INSTRUCTIONAL

OFFICE OF ACADEMIC ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS. Assistant Coordinator. The assistant coordinator of academic enrichment will report to the director of the Center for Academic Enrichment and Excellence. This individual will work with the implementation of academic support programs. Specific program responsibilities include Project Success (a seminar which assists students with QCA's less than 2.0), the Summer Program, and follow-up on student withdrawals. Position requires evening and weekend work and intensive summer work responsibilities. Other duties as assigned by coordinator. Qualifications: Master's degree and/or commensurate experience; strong written and oral communication and organizational skills; familiarity with higher-education structure; ability to work with diverse populations and to network with other university units to design and implement programs; ability to manage a number of projects at one time; working knowledge of computers, Macintosh preferred; experience advising, programming, and facilitating small groups preferred. Salary range is $24,000-$28,000. CULINARY SERVICES DEPARTMENT. Associate Director, Board Operations. Provides leadership to, and daily supervision of, a multi-unit traditional board plan and a commissary operation with sales of $9,000,000. Ensures that these operations meet or exceed budget expectations while maintaining excellent quality. Ensures that all supervised units maintain good customer satisfaction which meets or exceeds the national average as benchmarked by a national survey. Provides leadership to a menu-planning committee which plans and adjusts the six-week cycle menu in the board plan. Department goal is a menu featuring restaurant quality products which meet the needs and tastes of today's customers. Helps plan and execute a yearly schedule of special events and monotony breakers that are exciting and spectacular. Evaluates, recommends, approves, and supervises all renovations or equipment requests from board plan operations and commissary. Works with each manager on unit needs, specifications, and purchasing. Knowledge of multifaceted food-service operations. Operational skills, including a strong sense of food quality. Management expertise. Extremely necessary are good interpersonal skills and ability to achieve goals. Marketing skills. Four-year degree in hotel, restaurant, institutional management, or similar field or equivalent training and experience. With preference given for administrative management experience in a medium to large university food service.
