Governor's Proclamation of Professional Secretaries Day
Virginia Tech Spectrum, April 24, 1997WHEREAS, as skilled, courteous and efficient members of Virginia's talented workforce, professional secretaries provide valuable assistance to their employers, customers and all the people of Virginia; and
WHEREAS, professional secretaries promote interoffice efficiency, productivity and friendly working relationships; and
WHEREAS, the caring, diplomacy and dedication of all individuals who perform secretarial duties are helping to enhance the Virginia Renaissance-a period of economic growth and increased opportunity for all our citizens; and
WHEREAS, the tireless efforts of the commonwealth's professional secretaries merit our strong appreciation;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, George Allen, governor, do hereby proclaim April 23, 1997, as PROFESSIONAL SECRETARIES DAY in the COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA.
