Outreach candidate to speak today

Edward G. Simpson Jr., candidate for the position of vice provost for outreach, will conduct an open forum on "The Future of Outreach at Land-Grant Universities" Thursday, March 19 at 1:30 p.m. in the front auditorium of the Donaldson Brown Hotel and Conference Center.
Simpson is associate vice president for public service and outreach at the University of Georgia and director of the Georgia Center for Continuing Education. From 1971-83, Simpson served in various capacities at Virginia Tech, starting as program associate for off-campus credit programs for the Extension Division, director of off-campus credit programs, and finally as assistant dean of the Extension Division.
Simpson's presentation is open to interested faculty and staff members, and students.
