PULASKI CAR DEALER TO SELL DAIHATSUS

Hudson Chevrolet Corp. has won the franchise to sell Japanese-made Daihatsu cars and trucks in Southwest Virginia.

Daihatsus, which have been marketed in the United States only recently, tied with the popular Acura in positive recommendations from new car owners in a 1989 survey of customer satisfaction by J.D. Power and Associates.

The cars will sell for $6,500-$9,800, said Robert A. Hudson Jr., owner of the Pulaski dealership. The 20-year-old dealership, which has just built a new showroom for Daihatsu and Jeep/Eagle, also sells Chevrolet, GEO, Chrysler, Plymouth and Dodge.
