48 APPLYING FOR POST

Forty-eight people from several states have applied for the assistant county administrator's post being vacated by Gary Elander.

Elander, whose last official day was Wednesday, will become part-time town manager of Dublin and will do consulting work.

The county also is seeking applicants for two School Board seats for four-year terms beginning July 1. Robert Goncz of District B and Donald Lacy of District G currently hold those seats.

Interested applicants should submit a resume or statement of their qualifications to County Administrator Betty Thomas by April 4.

Applicants also are being sought to fill unexpired terms on the Industrial Development Authority and Western Virginia Emergency Services Council.

Those terms would end in January 1991, and the deadline to apply is March 19.
