Radford University won two awards in the 1989 Council for the Advancement and Support of Education District III competition. Radford magazine received an award of excellence in the alumni magazine category. In the July 1989 issue, an illustration by MARTIN BENNETT with an essay by English professor RICHARD MURPHY received special merit.
